Lambertville's History
The Lambertville Post Office was originally opened as the West Erie Post Office in 1834. Two years later it was changed to Lambertville. The post office was actually discontinued in March of 1865; however, it was reestablished in December of that year, and the community surrounding it has been known as Lambertville ever since. In addition to Lambertville, the post office also serves part of Bedford Township and Whiteford Township
